Nice custom Mini Simmons for Russell. 5.6 x 23 x 2 3/4 with a red tint bottom and orange cut in deck tint. Custom wide base keel fins and a taped off polish on the bottom to keep the fin area super matt. Had lots of fun with this one.

Madagascar bound Barrel hunter.

Been given the chance to recreate one of the best boards I have ever owned. Customer came to me asking for a smaller, more maneuverable board to compliment his 7.6 single for some duty in Madagascar. I was thinking over some ideas and then it just hit me out of the blue. Scaled up from its original 6.0 to 6.6 and given a modern rocker, foil and bottom contour. Did away with the bumps on the tail as they seemed unnecessary for the wave type. The original board was a smoker. Shaped by Johnny Paarman in the late seventies under the Lighning Bolt- Pure Source label here in South Africa.

9.4 Sunset gun

A trippy 70's style low rocker gun for Sunset reef and Kom. Purple tint bottom with a red cut in deck. First test rides are looking very good. The additive S-wings really come into play on the turns, but it all turns solid and gunny in a straight line. Heaps of paddle speed. Come on Winter!!

11.2 x 23 x 3 1/2 Glider For Bryan. Custom cherry red tint. Deck, leash and fin patches with leash loop. Nose and tail blocks of obeche and african mahogany. Quad FCS Fusion plus Fusion under glass center box. Split panel matt/polish deck and full polish bottom. Bottom and rails tuned to local juice.

9.7 x 23 x 3. 19 in the nose and 15 in the tail. Secret triple T band rocker with nose rider tail curve. 50/50 foiled rails. Deep blended nose concave with 3" "V" panels so you can steer from the nose. Obeche and redwood tailblock. Burnt Orange tint with LOTS of deck and tail patches. Taped off 800grit matt and gloss finish. Custom 9.5" evenflow fin.

Been busy in the forge turning old pawn shop hammer heads into adze and axe heads. My hands generally take about three days to recover after each session. Blacksmiths are hard.

Shu... so after a very long time I am back in the bay and making some boards. This is a very tricked out custom nose rider for Ben, who has been extremely gracious in waiting so very long.

Long overdue road trip to wild places. 300000yr old hand axes in the Karoo, Kraal thorns as big as your hand and endless knarly barrels. Great way to unwind.
